Part-Time Temporary Maintenance
Reports To: Township Supervisor/Maintenance
Under direction of the Township Supervisor and full-time Maintenance person, performs general cleaning, sanitation and routine maintenance work. Handyman skills such as basic carpentry, plumbing and electrical are used. Position is responsible for the maintenance of all Township properties and its grounds and any special projects as deemed necessary by the Township Supervisor including but not limited to the landfill, boat launch, rail trail, rail trail bathroom facility, fire stations and administration building. $15.00 per hour. 25 hours per week for three (3) months
Must be able to operate and maintain floor machine scrubbers, vacuums and other janitorial accessories.
Sweep and mop floors. Wax and polish floors, as needed. Applies chemicals and window treatment materials.
Cleans, disinfects restrooms and their fixtures. Keeps restrooms supplied with soap, towels, and other supplies.
Performs general cleaning tasks, such as dusting desks and counters, cleaning windows, vacuuming rugs, emptying ashtrays, wastebaskets, etc.
Moves office furniture and equipment to facilitate cleaning and waxing processes or to assist in departmental or personnel transfers.
Clean and maintain all custodial equipment.
Perform minor painting, as needed.
Assist with hall rentals including setting up of tables and chairs, as needed.
Performs a variety of other related duties as assigned.
Boat Launch: Dock repairs, building repairs, grounds keeping and landscaping maintenance with assistance from the seasonal boat launch attendant.
Administrative Office/Fire Stations: Building repair, replace light bulbs and ballasts, routine maintenance, and removal of garbage and recycling in offices
Rail Trail Bathroom: Janitorial duties, as needed.
Rail Trail: Cut weeds back from trail way, removal of dead trees on trail, minor maintenance, as needed.
Pole Barn/Garage: Keep clean.
Bay Side Park: Mow and keep in manageable condition.
Landfill: Mow and keep in manageable condition.
Recreation Building: Keep supplies stocked and check for cleanliness after a rental, maintenance on building as needed. Maintenance of flooring, including stripping and waxing.
Township Hall: Mopping of floors, vacuum, cleaning of windows, stock supplies, garbage removal. Keep restrooms clean and stocked. Maintenance of building as needed.
Education – High School graduate or equivalent

Temporary Summer Part-time Boat Launch Attendant
Fee collection and overall maintenance of Twp. Boat Launch. Fri., Sat., Sun. and Holidays. Wage: $12.00/hr. Submit applications/resumes to Bangor Twp. Supervisor, 180 State Park Dr., Bay City MI 48706. Must be able to work immediately -Sept.
