Curbside Trash & Recycling
Weekly curbside trash and bi-weekly recycling collection in Bangor Charter Township is provided by Waste Management. Their number is 866-797-9018. Payment for this service is included on your winter tax bill as a special assessment and is required for all residential homes. Recycling schedules are available at the Township office and at this link.
The Toter with the green lid is for trash and the Toter with the yellow lid is for recycling.
Yard waste is picked up by Waste Management beginning the third week of April through the second week of December each year. Remember to clearly label your containers YARD WASTE or use the paper bags for compost collection.
Waste Management will pick up your live Christmas tree the last week of December and first two weeks of January.
Local and long distance phone service is provided by numerous companies and can be found in the Yellow Pages or on the Internet.

Bay County Road Commission
The Bay County Road Commission is in charge of all road plowing in Bangor Charter Township and works hard to provide acceptable driving conditions in a reasonable amount of time following winter storms. Their first priority is to clear roads most frequently traveled and those that have winter problem areas, such as bridges, railroad crossings, curves and signalized intersections. Summer property taxes are mailed out July 1st and are due September 14th
Winter property taxes are mailed out December 1st and are due on February 14th
Annual tax assessments are required to be mailed out 10 days before the Board of Review. For Board of Review dates, please contact the Assessor’s office at 989-684-7100.
The Clerk’s office is responsible for voter registration and for administration of local, state and federal elections. If you need to register to vote, please contact our office at 989-684-8041.
